The value of exports of Iran’s Khorasan Petrochemical Company from March 21 to December 21, 2018 (nine months of the Iranian year) amounted to $62 million, which is 12 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, executive director of the company Hossein Shafiepour said, Trend reports via IRNA Jan. 16.

He noted that before the end of the Iranian year, which ends March 21, 2019, the company plans to achieve a record export figure.

He said that during this period, 468,000 tons of urea, 274,000 tons of ammonia and 18,800 tons of melamine were produced in the company. Production volumes exceeded the forecasted volumes by 8.2 percent, he noted.

This is a record for the petrochemical industry of Iran, he said.

Khorasan Petrochemical Company is located 17 kilometers from the administrative center of the North Khorasan province. The company has been operating since 1996.
