Iran's nuclear activities are peaceful and the halt of the Additional Protocol is temporary, said the Iranian President.

"We are not seeking non-peaceful activities, the halt of the Additional Protocol implementation and install of new centrifuges are all temporary, if they (JCPOA signatories) comply with all their commitments we would return to all our commitments," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"If the other side meaning the US, would show its honesty and seriousness we do not want anything more. In my opinion, if there is a need for negotiation we could negotiate in a short time with P4+1," he said during his cabinet meeting.

"The US can implement its Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action's commitments without negotiation although they seek a pretext to edit (the deal) there is no problem for us, our path (peaceful nuclear activities) would remain the same," Rouhani noted.

"The Iranian law has shown the reality of our nuclear capacity, not only 20 percent uranium enrichment occurred but it indicated we have the power to produce. We have showcased the strongest technology in the nuclear field. We have the stronger technology than in the past and IR6, IR8 and IR9 can be active and we can operate Arak reactor and Fordow (nuclear facility) is open so we continued our targets," the president added.

"Today our nuclear technology is legal and there is no doubt that Iran's nuclear activities are peaceful and we are working based on law," he stated.
