Presidential candidate Gharazi promised to form an anti-inflation administration.
He made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, the Khabaronline News website reported.
Iran's per capita oil consumption is around 1 barrel which is 1.5 times more than US energy consumption, he said.
The next administration must adopt a successful economic model to fix the existing issues in the country, Iranian presidential candidate Mohammad Gharazi said on Saturday.
The independent candidate said a strong capital market and governance structure will bring prosperity.
Gharazi blamed reformist and principlist administrations of the past for price hikes.
He said this happens when a one-party administration tries to eliminate others from economic activities through a misguided approach.
