Nine members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed Tuesday when their helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan, the ISAF said.

Nine members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed Tuesday when their helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan, the ISAF said, DPA reported.

Another ISAF soldier, a member of the Afghan National Army and a US civilian were injured, it said without releasing the nationalities of the ISAF casualties.

There were no reports of enemy fire in the area, and the cause of the crash was being investigated, the ISAF said.
