Main shareholder of Turk Telecom sells its shares

Saudi Oger Telecom Ltd. sold 21,111,597 shares of Turkey’s telecommunication giant Turk Telecom, said a message posted on the website of the Public Disclosure Platform (Kamuoyunu Aydınlatma Platformu – KAP).

The cost of the deal is 143.149 million Turkish liras with a par value of 5.28 liras per each.

Despite the sale of shares, Oger Telecom’s share in the authorized capital of the Turkish telecommunication operator remains unchanged – 55 percent.

The other shareholder of Turk Telecom is Turkey’s Undersecretariat of Treasury, which owns 30 percent of shares, and the remaining 15 percent is in free circulation at the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
