TAV Georgia's activity at the Tbilisi International Airport will be examined by International Air Transport Association (IATA) auditors.

This issue was discussed by the Economic Council under the Prime Minister, Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Kumsishvili told media on Feb. 15.

"A group of auditors will arrive in Tbilisi within a month," he said.

"Some 15 weeks will be required for conducting this audit," he said. "The comprehensive audit was not conducted at the airport."

"Much has been corrected at the airport under the supervision of the National Agency of Civil Aviation," he added.

"Regarding the negotiations with TAV Georgia, the process is underway," he said.

"Both sides have made proposals," he said.

The Georgian government thinks that the contract with the Turkish company was not formalized on a parity basis. The Georgian side's interests were minimized there.
