Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will visit Iraq next month, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported on Friday.

According to the TV channel, the Foreign Minister himself said this during a meeting with Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said during his official visit to Turkey that the political crisis which lasted for over two years between Ankara and Baghdad didn't significantly affected to trade relations, according to the earlier report.

Tension has been observed in relations between Iraq and Turkey for more than a year. Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said that 'Turkey is turning into an enemy to all states in the region due to its attempts to dominate and intervene in the affairs of its neighbours'.

In response, Erdogan said that Iraq should in the first instance sort out its own internal affairs before it accuses neighbouring countries of hostility.

Energy cooperation between Turkey and the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq increased tension in their relations. The Turkish side has made statements in recent months that Turkey is not going to refuse cooperation with the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq in the oil and gas spheres.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Ankara considers the desire of Iraq for political association and strengthening of a partnership with Turkey as unconvincing.
