Iranian businessmen are interested in the project to build a new town in western Georgia.

Head of Iranian-Georgian Business Development Center Mahmoud Davari said in an interview with the Financial that since visa-free regime was introduced between Georgia and Iran, the interest of Iranian businessmen to Georgia increased.

He said at this stage the scope of their interests is the acquisition of land in Adjara, Kobuleti and Tbilisi, hotels and homes. But after the dissemination of information about the Lazika project, a group of investors showed interest in it as well.

Davari is sure that Iranian investors will participate in this project and invest solid money in it.
