BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. The value of goods transported by road in Azerbaijan exceeded $3.09 billion from January through April 2022, which is 10.7 percent (more than $299.1 million) more than the same period in 2021, Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee told Trend.
According to committee, cargo transportation by road exceeded 1.5 million tons in the reporting period, which is 10.1 percent more than in first four months 2021.
Export of goods by road increased by 13.7 percent and amounted to 572,237 tons worth $606.3 million (an increase of 24.1 percent), and import - by 8.1 percent, to more than 962,989 tons in the amount of more than $2.4 billion (an increase of 7.8 percent).
The cost of cargo transportation in Azerbaijan by all modes of transport amounted to almost $15.8 billion, including exports - about $11.8 billion, imports - $4.04 billion during the reporting period.
