BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. The curtain rose on the documentary “A Fistful of Peace,” brought to life by the Azerbaijan Journalists Network NGO, as it took center stage in the pavilion of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, nestled in the Green Zone during the bustling COP29 in Azerbaijan's Baku, Trend reports.
According to information, the brains behind the documentary shedding light on the ecocide in Azerbaijan's Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur during Armenia's occupation are none other than the renowned journalist Ayaz Mirzoyev.
The ceremony of presentation of the film was attended by senior officials of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, and the board of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, including the founder of the Kenyan SMACHS Foundation Charlene Ruto.
Following the English-language film presentation ceremony, there was a public discussion about the film.
The documentary will be screened on a larger scale soon.
As part of the event, SMACHS Foundation founder Charlene Ruto also viewed a photo exhibition of mine victims in Azerbaijan's mine-contaminated lands of Armenia.
The photo exhibition “Feet Pushing the Button” made a deep impression on the visitors.
The donor of both projects on Armenia's environmental crimes against Azerbaijan and mine warfare is the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations.
