BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. The trade turnover in Baku grew from January through July 2022, Trend reports via the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the department, this figure amounted to 15.2 billion manat ($8.9 million), up by 5.7 percent on annual basis.
Sales of foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco products in the trade network of Baku in the first seven months of this year rose by 12.6 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 8.5 billion manat ($5 billion).
Meanwhile, sales of non-food products decreased by one percent - up to 6.7 billion manat ($3.9 billion).
Besides, according to the department, 36.3 percent of the sold products accounted for enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 46.7 percent - trade facilities owned by individuals, and 17 percent - markets of Baku.
