Volume of Azerbaijani gas exports to Turkey disclosed

Azerbaijan’s gas exports to Turkey dropped by 42.93 percent in November 2021, as compared to the same month in 2020, and stood at 607.5 million cubic meters, Trend reports with reference to Turkey’s Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Russia was the largest exporter of natural gas to Turkey in November 2021 with more than 1.617 billion cubic meters, a 33.6 percent decrease year-on-year, followed by the US with 833.02 million cubic meters, or 100 percent more year-on-year. Iran came in third with 796.02 million cubic meters.

Turkey’s overall gas imports dropped by 2,02 percent in November 2021 year-on-year and stood at 5.048 billion cubic meters, with almost 3.021 billion cubic meters accounting for pipeline imports and 2.028 billion cubic meters imported as liquefied natural gas.

Pipeline imports decreased by 29.59 percent, while LNG imports saw a 135.15 percent growth.

The country’s natural gas consumption rose by 5.63 percent and reached 4.867 billion cubic meters.
