Uzbek soum rate versus dollar reduces by 10% in 2014

The Uzbek soum official rate set by the Central Bank of the Republic reduced by 10 percent in 2014 versus dollar - from 2202,20 soums per dollar on January 1, 2014 to 2422.40 soums per dollar on January 1, 2015.

The national currency rate versus dollar declined by 10.9 percent in 2013 - from 1985.46 soums to 2202.20 soums per dollar, in 2012 - 10.6 percent - from 1.795 soums per dollar to 1985.46 per dollar, in 2011 - 9.5 percent - from 1.640 soums per dollar to 1.795 soums per dollar, in 2010 - by 8.5 percent from 1511.4 soums per dollar to 1.640 soums per dollar, in 2009 - by 8.5 percent - from 1.393 per dollar to 1511.4 soums per dollar.

The soum rate versus euro increased by 1.5 percent by the end of 2014 - from 3031.90 soums per euro up to 2987.74 soums per euro at the beginning of the year compared to a 15.5 percent decrease in 2013 and by 12.1 percent in 2012.

The soum rate versus Russian ruble increased by 28.5 percent - from 65.14 soums per ruble to 46.55 soums per ruble at the end of 2014 compared to a 3.6 percent decrease in 2013 and 13.4 percent in 2012.

The soum rate versus Chinese yuan reduced by 7.2 percent in 2014 - from 363.17 soums per yuan to 389.33 soums per yuan, by 14 percent in 2013 and by 12.3 percent in 2012.

The central bank sets the exchange rates of foreign currencies versus Uzbek soums for accounting, statistics and other reporting on currency operations, as well as the calculation of customs and other obligatory payments without obligation to buy or sell currency at a fixed rate.
