BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. We are in the final stages of launching a joint venture aimed at developing a green energy corridor that will connect Azerbaijan with the EU, Romanian Energy Minister Sebastian Ioan Burduja said at the 9th Ministerial Meeting, a meeting of the steering committee held in accordance with the agreement on strategic partnership on green energy development and transfer between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary within COP29, Trend reports.

"We are in the final stages of establishing the joint venture, and I'm pleased to report that discussions regarding the statutes are nearly finalized. Once we receive the final contributions, we will be ready to file the necessary documents with the trade register. We have held comprehensive consultations with the Competition Council in Romania, which is legally required to evaluate foreign investments from outside the EU. And at this point, we have successfully secured the legal permission to proceed.

Following the completion of the statutory process, our transmission operator will furnish each party with a list of requisite papers. This will encompass vital details, such as your business registration and evidence of finance, among others," Burduja said.
