TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 13. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan totaled $587.5 million from January through September this year.
The data from the country's Statistics Agency, obtained by Trend, indicates a decrease of 28.3 percent when compared to the same period last year ($753.8 million from January through September 2023).
Kyrgyzstan became one of the 15 largest trade partners of Uzbekistan over the period.
Uzbekistan's exports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $403 million, which is 33.3 percent less compared to last year ($537.4 million from January through September 2023).
Moreover, Uzbekistan's imports from Kyrgyzstan reached $184.5 million from January through September 2024. This indicator decreased by 17.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($216.3 million from January through September 2023).
To note, the volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $48.2 billion in the period from January through September 2024. This indicator increased by 7.7 percent year-on-year ($44.7 billion in January-September 2023).
