BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. The briefing with the participation of heads of relevant international NGOs was held in the Natavan conference hall of Azerbaijan's Baku Olympic Stadium, which was set aside for COP29, Trend reports.

According to the information, the briefing participants were presented with an extensive report covering almost all areas of youth contribution to the fight against climate change.

The event highlighted the growing importance of active youth participation in the tasks facing humanity and the inadmissibility of entrusting the solution to climate problems to subsequent generations.

Afterward, a cartoon prepared by talented youth - students of the Canadian University was screened, aimed at educating society about climate issues.

The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) kicked off yesterday. COP29, which is being held at the Baku Olympic Stadium, will continue until November 22. It is the largest event organized by Azerbaijan to date, and the first time in the region that it is being held in Azerbaijan.

A key expectation from COP29 is to agree on a fair and ambitious New Collective Quantitative Goal (NCQG) on climate finance.

A comprehensive suite of 14 transformative initiatives was strategically proposed by the COP29 Chairmanship.
