BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. Kazakhstan supports Azerbaijan's initiative to establish a group of experts from the Caspian countries, said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as he delivered his national statement during COP29 conference in Baku, Trend reports.

"The Caspian Sea is in danger. Saving the biggest lake in the world is a matter of common concern that requires long-term international cooperation. We support the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev to establish a group of experts from the Caspian States," he said.

The president added that Kazakhstan is intensifying its activities to preserve the Aral Sea.

"I express my sincere appreciation to the Azeri government for organizing this global gathering and I believe that together we will be able to meet the defining challenge of this generation," Tokayev concluded.
