BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. The President of the Republic of Kenya William Samoei Ruto has sent a letter of condolences to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, following the tragic crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane near the city of Aktau on December 25, 2024, Trend reports.
"Excellency,
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Kenya, and on my own behalf, I convey my deepest sympathies to your Excellency, the families of victims, and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan, following the tragic Azerbaijan airlines plane crash that occurred on 25th December, 2024.
Excellency, I extend my condolences to the grieving families and our thoughts and prayers are with the families. Excellency, we wish a swift recovery to those injured. At this period of grief, Kenya stands in full solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan.
May the Almighty grant the Azerbaijan Republic the courage and resolve to overcome this tragedy.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration," the letter reads.
