BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Co-founder and board member of the Israeli Economic Forum Jonathan Missner alongside senior energy advisor at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and expert in international energy and foreign policy, Professor Brenda Shaffer, recently visited Azerbaijan's Lachin district, the district service for the Restoration, Construction, and Management told Trend.
According to the service, the purpose of the visit was to review the rapid reconstruction efforts in the recently liberated areas and to discuss future priorities and potential areas of development.
During their visit, the delegation was provided with detailed information about the large-scale reconstruction projects, plans for economic development, and efforts to integrate the region into Azerbaijan’s economy.
Lachin district was noted as one of the fastest recovering areas after its liberation and is currently a focal point for the country’s economic, cultural, and strategic development.
The delegation also toured several of the city’s destroyed areas, as well as newly constructed enterprises. Information was shared with the guests about the importance of these businesses for the region’s economic growth.
The visitors praised the scale of the restoration work carried out in Lachin in such a short period of time.
