The volume of deposits in Azerbaijani banks increased by 13 percent or 1.06 billion manat ($623 million) as of January 1, 2022 compared to the previous year, exceeding 9.2 billion manat ($5.4 billion), Trend reports referring to the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The deposits of the population in banks amounted to 8.2 billion manat ($4.8 billion).
The total net profit of banks amounted to 609 million manat ($358 million), operating profit - 942.8 million manat ($554.6 million) as of January 1, 2022.
The average annual deposit rate in the national currency was 8.59 percent while in foreign currency - 1.48 percent as of January 1, 2022.
