Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / Criminal investigations have been completed regarding the explosion in the well of the Oil and Gas Production Unit 'Bibi Heybat'.
According to the information provided by the Prosecutor's Office of Baku city's Sabayl district, two people have been charged for contravening Article 162.2 (violation of labor protection rules causing human death due to carelessness) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The case has only just been forwarded to Judge Rauf Ahmadov of Sabayl District Court and the date for the preparatory court hearing has not been confirmed as yet.
As a result of the explosion, Engineers Mirkazim Askerov and Elman Hasanov died and tractor driver Sulhaddin Huseynov and operator Kerim Suleymanov were injured.
