President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a message of congratulation to President of the People Republic of China Hu Jintao on his country's national holiday.
The letter runs: "We attach great importance to the relations between Azerbaijan and China. I would with great pleasure note that these relations are traditionally ancient and now have acquired a strategic level."
President Aliyev expressed confidence for further political, economic and cultural relations, mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as mutual support in international questions, which will serve the interests of the two countries and nations.
President of Azerbaijan wished Mr. Hu Jintao robust health, success in activity, and the friendly people of China - peace and welfare.
