PACE Bureau made a decision to contact the Armenian delegation and hold a special debate about its unwillingness to work with the designated rapporteur on Nagorno-Karabakh, the chairman of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov told reporters Oct.3.
The deputy said that the PACE Bureau held a meeting, one of the topics of which was the appointment of the rapporteur on the topic of "Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories" by the committee on political affairs and democracy.
At this meeting many members of the Bureau said that the Armenian delegation at the PACE session was not behaving in accordance with the rules of the Council of Europe, he said.
Seyidov said that one of the issues was also unwillingness of the Armenian delegation to work with the new rapporteur. PACE Bureau made a decision to contact the Armenian side and hold appropriate special discussion.
If Armenia continues to oppose the work with the rapporteur, the Council of Europe will be forced to take some steps. PACE will elaborate on this issue at the January session, Seyidov said.
