Investigation into the case of senior operator-in-charge of the Central Criminal Search Department of the Interior Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Haji Mammadov, and his criminal group. If the investigation reveals new facts, the public will be informed of that, Eldar Mahmudov, the National Security Minister, told journalists.
According to Mahmudov, the investigation into the case of former head of the Central Criminal Search Department of the Interior Ministry, General Zakir Nasirov, arrested on the base of evidences provided by Mammadov, is currently underway. В"At present the operative investigation events on Nasirov’s case continue. Employees of the National Security Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s Office anew hold revision in the place of murder,” Mahmudov informed.
The Minister reminded that earlier Mammadov attempted to commit a suicide, but h security was fully provided and there are no grounds for anxiety. В"Different media reports spread today in the local press testify for deep roots of the crime. Let’s not outdo the developments,” he underlined.
Nasirov, who is currently kept at the investigation cell of the National Security Ministry, is accused in compliance with several articles of the Criminal Code, including the murder of set purpose and kidnapping.
