Alizadeh / The expansion of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Greece in the political and economic spheres is necessary, Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev stated on 2 August during a reception for the Greek delegation headed by the Greek Development Minister, Dimitris Sioufas, at the President's Palace.
The Head of the Azerbaijani State expressed confidence that the current visit of the Greek Development Minister would provide a strong impetus for further development of cooperation both at bilateral and regional levels.
Dimitris Sioufas extended the greetings of Greek President, Karolos Papoulias and Prime Minister, Konstantions Karamanlis to the Azerbaijan President, stressing the importance of the Memo signed during the visit. "This historical agreement will open new opportunities in Greek-Azerbaijani relations," he underscored.
