Inflation in the Netherlands stood at 1.9 percent in January, the same as in December last year, Dutch central statistics bureau said on Thursday.
Inflation has fallen from the peak of 3.2 percent last August as oil prices plunged with the development of the financial crisis. Year-on-year inflation was 2.8 percent in October and 2.3 percent in November, Xinhua reported.
In January, energy prices pushed up inflation while clothing prices had a contrary effect. Gas and electricity prices were nearly 14 percent higher than a year ago but clothes were 4.4 percent cheaper, the bureau said.
