Kazakhstan increases industrial production by almost 5%

The volume of industrial production in Kazakhstan increased by 4.7 percent in the first 10 months of this year compared to the same period last year, Kazakh media reported referring to the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry.

In particular, production of crude oil, natural gas and metal ores, food, oil refining and tobacco products, as well as products of chemical and metallurgical industries, mechanical engineering, rubber and plastic products has increased. At the same time, the production of basic pharmaceutical products has decreased.

Oil and gas condensate production amounted to 74.6 million tons for the first 10 months (4.8 percent increase year-on-year), while production of copper ore totaled 85.5 million tons (6 percent increase).

Gasoline output amounted to 3.2 million tons (27.8 percent increase), gasoil production - 3.9 million tons (7.6 percent increase). Electricity production totaled 87.8 billion kilowatt-hours (4.8 percent increase), while flour was produced in the amount of 3.4 million tons (6 percent increase).
