Turkmenistan's “Dag Merjeni” IE company opened the plant for production of a facing brick in Turkmenbashy district of Dashoguz region, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The construction was held on the area of three hectares, which was allocated by the government.
The equipment purchased outside of Turkmenistan was installed at the plant. The capacity of the plant equals to two million bricks a year, including bricks intended for lining building facades.
The priority direction of the construction materials industry is the production of cement in Turkmenistan. The country’s plants produce Portland cement, grouting and sulphate resistant cement. Other enterprises also contribute to the diversification of the national economy – particularly, the metallurgical and gas concrete plants located in the town of Owadandepe of Turkmenistan’s Ahal Region.
Turkmen plants produce reinforced blocks, expanded clay, precast reinforced concrete products, ceramic bricks, facing slabs. Plants of large-panel housing construction designed for the production of reinforced concrete structures for the construction of multi-storey residential buildings and cottage-type houses have significantly increased their potential. The output of ceramic bricks, fittings, metal profiles, plastic and fiberglass pipes increased. An important role is assigned to international cooperation, primarily the implementation of mutually beneficial projects and investments (including foreign investments).
