BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. Iran's non-oil exports to the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), increased by 2.5 percent in value and 23 percent in volume in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, said Rouhollah Latifi, an official of the Central Union of Rural and Agricultural Cooperatives of Iran, Trend reports.
The official noted that Iran exported 12.3 million tons of non-oil products worth over $5.88 billion to ECO member states for seven months.
He added that Iran exported non-oil products worth $2.75 billion to Türkiye, $1.14 billion to Pakistan, $975 million to Afghanistan, $303 million to Azerbaijan and $251 million to Turkmenistan in 7 months.
"In addition, Iran exported goods worth $189 million to Uzbekistan, $133 million to Tajikistan, $104 million to Kazakhstan and $40.3 million to Kyrgyzstan during the specified period,” Latifi said.
As for Iran's foreign trade turnover with ECO member states for the first 7 months, Latifi also mentioned the trade turnover amounted to 14.9 million tons worth approximately $10.2 billion, showing an increase of 4.5 percent in value and 18 percent in volume compared to the same period previous year.
The following ten countries are at present the member states of ECO: Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan.
