Azerbaijan Passes First Document on Unification of Legislation in Compliance with WTO Principles
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. U.Ismaylova / The Azerbaijan Government passed the first document through the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers on regulating rights in intellectual property for unification of the legislation in compliance with the World Trade Organization's principles, the WTO's Secretariat at the State Commission on Trainings to Join the WTO, reported.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on the unification of Azerbaijani legislation by the end of 2007 back in August 2006.
The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers approved rules on defining and payment of minimum sums of fees for distribution of phonograms of audio-visual works on 24 August 2007.
Azerbaijan has been represented in the WTO as an observer-country since 1997.
