Azerbaijan shares data on gas export to Georgia for 7M2021

Azerbaijan has exported over two billion cubic meters of natural gas to Georgia in the first seven months of 2021, Trend reports on Aug.27 citing the statistical report of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the SCC, the value of the export of Azerbaijani gas to Georgia exceeded $261.7 million.

Overall, from January through July 2021, Azerbaijan has exported slightly over 12 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 56.36 percent more compared to the same period of 2020. In value terms, the gas exports totaled over $2 billion.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period made up nearly $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for $11.39 billion (growth of 24.7 percent year on year), and imports – almost $6.3 billion (up 6.7 percent).

Export and import shares in the foreign trade turnover made up 64.4 percent and 35.6 percent, respectively.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis increased by 57.7 percent - up to 5 billion manat ($2.9 billion), remaining positive.
