The total world gas production in 2020 stood at 4 014 bcm with almost 24 percent accounting for the US, Trend reports with reference to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

Ten largest net importers are China with 125 bcm, Japan with 105 bcm, Germany with 83 bcm, Italy with 66 bcm, Mexico with 64 bcm, Korea with 54 bcm, Turkey with 47 bcm, France with 37 bcm, UK with 34 bcm and India with 34 bcm.
