Turkey has imported a total of 93,673 tons of crude oil in July 2021 from Turkmenistan, which accounted for 2.18 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Thus, Turkey’s import of Turkmen crude oil increased by 67.2 percent compared to February 2021 (56,000 tons) and by 6.3 times compared to the volume imported in June 2020 (12,763 tons). Export was not carried out in January.
Turkey’s import of crude oil from Turkmenistan from January through July 2021 amounted to 338,266 tons.
Trade turnover between Turkey and Turkmenistan grew by $55.2 million in July 2021, compared to the same month of 2020.
In the reporting month, Turkey’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $105 million, and imports from the country - $27.5 million, the ministry said.
The value of exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan in the first 7 months of this year has made up $551.1 million, and imports - $239.2 million, the ministry added.
