BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. An average of 184 million liters of crude oil and 164 million liters of oil products were transported in Iran daily since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022), Executive Director of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (OPTC) Arslan Rahimi told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.
Rahimi noted that a total of 68 billion liters of crude oil and 60 billion liters of oil products were transported in the country over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
The director added that with the launch of 3 new pipelines in the next 4 years, 2,500 kilometers will be added to the length of pipelines transporting crude oil and related products in the country, and the total length will reach about 17,000 kilometers.
At present, Nain-Kashan-Rey, Bandar Abbas-Sirjan-Rafsanjan and Mehr Aran-Fasa pipelines are being laid in Iran, Rahimi said.
“In addition, a 125 km long Nezamiyeh-Sabzab pipeline is being laid in the country. At present, 95 kilometers of the pipeline have been laid and it is expected that the construction of the pipeline will be completed within the next 4 months,” he pointed out.
