Turkmenistan slightly increases purchases of aviation fuel from Türkiye

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 2. Turkmenistan purchased more than 220 tons of aviation fuel from Türkiye in August this year, which is slightly more than a month earlier, Trend reports.

According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), these statistics represent a mere 0.02 percent of Türkiye's overall exports of petroleum-based products during the specified timeframe.

Turkmenistan last purchased 206 tons of aviation fuel from Türkiye in July 2023. Thus, Turkmenistan imported 2,576 tons of Turkish aviation fuel in the first eight months of 2023.

Turkmenistan purchased 346.2 tons of aviation fuel from Türkiye last year, a 37.7 percent decrease from the same period in 2021 (555.8 tons).

Meanwhile, Türkiye and Turkmenistan are actively cultivating bilateral trade ties. Furthermore, both countries are cooperating on investments in a variety of industries, including construction, energy, and agriculture.
