The prices of Microsoft's software products will rise in Azerbaijan by 15 to 30 percent, Microsoft Azerbaijan told Trend.
The prices are expected to increase starting from January 2015.
The company's new tariff policy is due to brining new product line to the market.
"The prices of cloud services offered by the company aren't planned to be increased," Microsoft Azerbaijan said, adding that the novelty won't affect the company's contracts previously signed with corporate customers.
However, as the company said, the new contracts will be concluded in accordance with new tariffs.
The increase in prices will be felt by home users as well, because the cost of the office suite will also rise.
The cost of server solutions will also increase.
The company said the rise in price of Microsoft's products could lead to higher prices for desktop and laptop computers.
Here the matter rests in the computers with a screen resolution of over nine inches, as the software for devices with a screen of less than nine inches comes for free.
"Higher prices won't immediately affect the cost of computer equipments, and most of them will be sold at the prices at which they were purchased in 2014. Probably, consumers will feel the increase in price in May," the company said referring to the new models of computers to be supplied to the market.
