The activity of users of the social network Facebook in Azerbaijan in January-April 2018 increased by almost 5 percent, the statistical center Global Stats reports May 12.
As of May 1, 2018, Facebook accounted for 38.6 percent in the Azerbaijani social media market or 48.7 percent less than in the same period of 2017. Facebook ranks first in the social media market of the country in terms of popularity.
YouTube settled in second place in terms of popularity among social networks, whose audience’s activity in January-April 2018 fell by 8,8 percent.
As of May 1, 2018, the market share of this social network in Azerbaijan amounted to 31.3 percent.
A sharp increase in activity in January-April 2018 was observed among users of the social network Instagram – more than twice. This social network ranks third in the social media market, with a market share of 11.17 percent as of May 1, which exceeds the same indicator of the past year almost five times.
It is followed by the social network Pinterest – 10.67 percent, Twitter – 4.21 percent, "In contact" – 1.91 percent, Tumblr - 0.68 percent and others.
