Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium (AZINNEX) has sent its representative to Uzbekistan, a source in the country's IT market told Trend.
The source informed Trend that the representative’s powers include the solution of issues of opening a representative office in that country and the negotiations on implementation of previously agreed projects.
Representatives of business circles of the two countries held meetings in Tashkent in February this year.
The meeting was attended by more than 20 representatives of big companies of Azerbaijan and more than 50 heads of enterprises of Uzbekistan operating in the fields of ICT, trade, construction, printing, pharmaceuticals and other areas.
There are 84 enterprises with Azerbaijani capital in Uzbekistan, including 71 joint ventures and 11 enterprises with 100 percent Azerbaijani capital.
One of the high-tech projects to be implemented in Uzbekistan is the introduction of an automated education management system in the Ministry of Higher and Secondary-Specialized Education of Uzbekistan. The solution will be adapted to the requirements of the education system of Uzbekistan.
As previously reported, AZINNEX’s plans for 2018 include the intensification of work towards the export of local software solutions to foreign markets.
The AZINNEX consortium was created in the middle of 2017 in conjunction with 10 IT companies of Azerbaijan. The consortium includes such companies as SINAM, Ultra Technologies, B.EST Solutions, Neuron, Idrak, Cybernet, BestComp Group, Goldenpay, R.I.S.K. and Center for Innovations.
