BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. A compound feed factory owned by Alel-Agro company has been put into operation in Bayzak district of Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl region, Trend reports via Kazakh media

The facility was lunched as a part of international Zhambyl Economic and Investment Forum – 2023.

Akim (Governor) of the Zhambyl region Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Vice Minister of Agriculture Abilkhayyr Tamabek, Governor of the Talas region Nurlan Darynov, and other officials took part in the opening ceremony.

The total cost of the project is 4.4 billion tenge ($9.6 million), the capacity of the factory is 96,000 tons of feed per year. The factory is expected to fully provide domestic market of Kazakhstan with feed compound when operating at full capacity.

The factory has been built in order to increase productivity and ensure the affordability of products of a poultry farm in Zhambyl. The aforementioned farm was launched in the region by Alel-Agro in 2022.

According to the governor of the region, it is planned to increase the production of poultry meat in the region up to 70,000 tons by 2026.

Zhambyl Economic and Investment Forum 2023 was held in the Kazakh city of Taraz on April 26-27. The Forum's purpose is to present the investment and economic potential of the region, exchange mutual experience, effectively use the opportunities of potential investors, and establish relationships.
