Kyrgyz authorities to discuss potential of CSTO Rapid Reaction Force with Secretary General

The Ministry of Defence of Kyrgyzstan intends to discuss with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Nikolai Bordyuzha participation of Kyrgyz units in collective CSTO Rapid Reaction Force, as the Minister of Defense Abibilla Kudaibergenov of KR told news agency Interfax

He added that legal issues will be among key topics at the talks. The Minister said that the Kyrgyz units, involved in Rapid Reaction Force, already received from Russia summer and winter uniforms. "We also will negotiate with Nikolai Bordyuzha about equipping these units with weapons and means of communication," said Abibilla Kudaibergenov, news agency "24.kg" reported.

Note that in 2011 the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO should proceed with the joint training. They now account for 3.5 thousand servicemen from all states-member of the organization and more than 500 representatives from law enforcement.
