Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Mehdi Sadeghi Niyaraki said that reaching $6 billion worth of exports within 5 years for Iran is possible, but there's a need for a precise operational plan, Trend reports via ILNA.
"The formation of a consortium of export-oriented production, branding and marketing, chain stores and investment attraction will be considered in the framework of the strategic document in the food industry," Niyaraki said.
Noting that the operational plan has been developed, he said that “The food industry value chain plan with the focus on maximum participation of the private sector will be submitted to the Minister of Industry," Niyaraki noted.
He reminded that the operational plan for the development of the clothing and footwear production industry has already been unveiled by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade.
