Members of the Central Election Commission of Armenia signed a protocol on Tuesday on the preliminary results of the presidential elections held yesterday, News-Armenia reported.
According to preliminary data, Armenian incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan won the presidential elections scoring 58.64 per cent of the votes after counting the data from all 1988 polling stations. First Foreign Minister of Armenia Raffi Hovannisian ranked second scoring 36.75 per cent of the votes, Former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan ranked third scoring 2.15 per cent. Andreas Ghukasyan scored 0.57 per cent, Vardan Sedrakian - 0.42 per cent and Arman Melikyan - 0.24 per cent.
Presidential elections were held in Armenia on Feb.18. According to preliminary data of the CEC, more than 1.518 million voters voted in the elections, or 60.05 per cent of the total electorate.
