Saudi woman kills wolf to save husband

A Saudi woman killed a wolf with a kitchen knife in order to save her husband's life, the Saudi newspaper al-Watan reported on Thursday.

The husband was wrestling with the wolf after it tried to attack the family's sheep when the wife came to his aid and stabbed the animal to death in the western province of Mahd al-Thahab, DPA reported.

The family hung the carcass from a tree near their village home as a demonstration of strength, part of a custom practiced by nomadic Bedouins and others in rural areas of Saudi Arabia.
