Hundreds of Jordanians took part in demonstrations in Amman and other cities after Friday prayers to express support for anti-government protests in Egypt, DPA reported.
Demonstrations marched from mosques in central Amman to the Egyptian embassy.
The participants, mainly activists, Islamists and trade unionists, chanted slogans urging Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak to step down.
"Mubarak must bow to the will of the Egyptian people and leave," said Hamzeh Mansour, Secretary General of the Islamic Action Front (IAF), the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
"Arab rulers should listen to the voice of their peoples and stop betting on the United States," he added.
