Four Militants Killed in Israeli Army’s Operations in South of Gaza Strip

Israel, Jerusalem / Тrend corr Y. Mishiyev / Four Hamas militants were killed in the south of Gaza Strip at the night of 14 August during Israeli Army's TZAHAL operations, according to Kol Israel radio station. One of Hamas leaders in Han Yunis, Mohammad Abu Mismamah, was among the killed terrorists.

Four people were inured, with at least 5 of them being the militants of Islamic jihad and the rest being members of Hamas. According to Israeli Defence Army, the 51st battalion of TZAHAL's Golani brigade jointly with armoured troops and sappers supported with help of helicopters has been carrying out an operation for recent two days which began at late night in the south of Gaza Strip (Rafiah and Han Yunis regions).

"Three air attacks were held in Han Yunis during the recent two days: yesterday at evening and today in the morning. The targets of all those operations were armoured militants," a representative of Israeli Army reported.

The purpose of the ongoing operation is search and neutralization of terrorists, search of underground tunnels through which arms are transported from Egypt to Gaza Strip, as well as the tunnels leading to Israel.

Ynet quoting Palestinian sources reported that TZHAL put several residential areas under its control and ordered all men aged 16-40 to leave houses. According to the militaries, preventive strikes on terrorists in the border of Gaza Strip will be continued.
