The 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale has started.
Azerbaijan`s First Lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva participated Wednesday in the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijani pavilion in Venice Biennale.
About 100 countries with their pavilions will participate in the exhibition to last till November. Azerbaijan participates in the exhibition for the third time. The venue of the Azerbaijani pavilion is Palazzo Benzon on the Grand Canal.s
This year, the Azerbaijani pavilion is presented under the motto of "Relational, of Baku". The country is represented by six artists - Altay Sadigzade, Mikayil Abdurrahmanov, Aydan Salahova, Zeygam Azizov, Khanlar Gasimov and Aga Huseynov.
The opening of the Azerbaijani pavilion was in the focus of foreign media.
