Tax collections from big taxpayers, as well as special tax regime enterprises exceeded forecast by 3.1 percent and totaled 4.77 billion manat in Azerbaijan in 2008, the Ministry of Taxes said.
Forecast on tax collections from big taxpayers, as well as special tax regime enterprises totaled 4.63 billion manat in 2008.
Growth of incomings totaled 21.1 percent (806.4 million manat) compared to forecast for 2007. Growth of actual incomings in the budget totals 17.5 percent (712.3 million manat).
In 2008 Special Tax Regime Department upon the forecast was to provide 86 percent of total tax collections in the country (4.63 million manat). Actual incomings totaled 83 percent (4.77 billion manat).
In 2008 growth of incomings from non-oil sector totaled 37.3 percent of total forecast of incomings or 1.33 billion manat, the Ministry of Taxes said. This index is more by 16.3 percent (186.4 million manat) compared to 2007.
On Feb. 12, the official exchange rate is 0.8065 manat to $1.
