Afghan Commerce and Industrial Minister Wahidullah Shahrani reviewed proposals to increase trade and economic cooperation with Turkmenistan, an official Turkmen source said.
Shahrani held meetings with the Turkmen commerce and foreign economic relations, energy and industrial and automobile ministries.
Turkmenistan delivers energy and diesel to Afghanistan.
In an interview with a Turkmen television station, Shahrani expressed his thanks for Turkmenistan's support of the Afghan people.
Ashgabat considers Afghanistan to be a future transit territory for a gas pipeline to Pakistan and India. The Afghan minister plans to continue on a trip to Kazakhstan to discuss grain deliveries.
