Baku to host Azerbaijani-Cuban intergovernmental commission meeting in spring

The Azerbaijani-Cuban Intergovernmental Commission's next meeting will take place in Baku on May 18-24, the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry reported on Feb. 28.

Azerbaijani Culture & Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev who is the chairman of the commission from Azerbaijan visited Cuba and reached an agreement on an exact date of the meeting.
 
The visit to Cuba began on Feb. 24 and will last by March 3.

The Intergovernmental Commission comprises Deputy Economic Development Minister Niyazi Safarov, Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to UN and Ambassador to Cuba Agshin Mehdiyev, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Finance Minister Azar Bayramov, Deputy Industry & Energy Minister Gulmammad Javadov, Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov, Deputy Health Minister Sanan Karimov and Deputy Youth & Sport Minister Intigam Babayev.

The commission's first meeting took place in Havana on Nov. 30- Dec. 1 in 2007.
