Azerbaijani water operator announces tender for restoration of water supply in Gobustan

Azerbaijani Water Operator JSC Azersu announced a tender for the purchase of works on reconstruction of water supply and sanitation in the city Gobustan (70 km from Baku), a statement said on Friday.

The subject of the tender is the construction of eight subartesian wells, four pumping stations, three reservoirs and the installation of water chlorination. At the same time it is planed to lay water distribution line with length of 59.7 kilometers, fire hydrants, and also provides the construction of sewer with length of 59.6 kilometers and micro-tunnel sewer reservoir of 240 meters.

The tender is declared in the frame of the project Water supply and sanitation in small towns, funded by the Agency for International Cooperation of Japan and the Government of Azerbaijan.
The fee for participating in the tender is 150 manat, or $200.

Related documents must be submitted in JSC Azersu at the address: Baku city, Moscow avenue 67 by July 13, 2012 to participate in the tender.

The project Water supply and sanitation in small towns involves the reconstruction of water supply and sanitation services in ten cities and towns of Azerbaijan (Salyan, Shirvan, Neftchala, Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Naphthalan, Khizi, Gusar and Gobustan).

Under a credit agreement signed on May 29, 2009, the Japanese side will provide loan of 38 billion yen ($ 400 million) to the implementation of these works.
